Window Treatments on Siesta Key
Siesta Key homes range from beach cottages to waterfront condos and vacation rentals, and each one handles sun and privacy differently. Coastal Shades and Shutters makes custom window treatments for Siesta Key homeowners, with free in-home consultations and 10+ years of experience.
Privacy in Close Quarters
On parts of the key, homes sit close together, near busy streets, or near beach paths. Treatments that give privacy without darkening the room help:
-
Top-down/bottom-up cellular shades: let light in from the top while the bottom stays covered.
-
Sheer horizontal shades: soft, filtered light with adjustable vanes.
-
Plantation shutters: tilt the louvers to block sight lines while light comes in.
Bright Sun, Bright Rooms
Beach light is strong, and it fades fabrics and heats rooms. Solar shades reduce glare, and blackout shades help bedrooms stay dark for sleep.
Vacation Rentals and Second Homes
If you rent out your Siesta Key property, you'll want treatments that guests can use easily:
-
Cordless shades: simple operation with no dangling cords.
-
Blackout options in bedrooms, which guests often appreciate.
-
A consistent look across rooms, which helps in listing photos.
We can schedule work between bookings when possible.
Beach Cottage to Modern Build
Whether your home is a classic cottage or a new modern build, we'll match the treatment to the architecture: shutters and soft Roman shades for a traditional look, clean roller shades and motorized shades for a modern one. We work with homeowners, interior designers, and custom home builders.
